LA ROCHE-POSAY LIPIKAR+M TRIPLE REPAIR MOISTURIZING CREAM.

Happy Sunday my babies. It’s snowing in the PNW and the Seahawks beat the Rams today. I’m here to talk about the La Roche-Posay Triple Repair Moisturizing Cream. So, as you all know I’m always testing out new skincare products. I recently disrupted my moisture barrier once again, so I needed to find a moisturizing cream that would soothe my irritated skin. This product is considered a body and face cream. This cream has been God sent. I cannot rave enough about it.

La Roche-Posay is a French brand that focuses creating skincare products for people with skin conditions such as eczema, sensitive skin, dryness, and acne prone skin. I have dry sensitive skin and I have to be careful about what products I put on my face. Initially, I tried the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Wash back in 2019 but it burned my skin. After this experience, I was hesitant to try any of there other products. Because my skin was so irritated and inflamed last week, I needed to find a face cream that would bring me relief almost instantly.

I picked up the Triple Repair Moisturizing Cream from CVS, went home washed my face, and applied the face cream. This cream soothed my skin instantly. My skin soaked this cream right up. Now, I did experience some slight irritation and burning do to my skin barrier being compromised. This is normal when you are trying to heal your moisture barrier. I have been using this repair cream for almost a week and my skin feel ten times better. I am hoping I can continue to use this cream throughout the year. I will update you all in a month to see if my skin is still loving this cream.

La Roche-Posay uses thermal spring water, ceramides, and glycerin in there products which keeps your skin hydrated and dewy. When I apply this cream to my face, it leaves a nice dewy finish. It does feel a bit tacky/sticky when first applied but sinks into the skin within minutes. This face cream is best suited for people who have eczema, sensitive, dry, or normal skin. If you have oily or combination skin, I suggest the Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer because it is oil free. This cream can be pore clogging so use with precaution. This cream is $20 and it comes in a 13.5 oz bottle with a pump.

Have any of you tried this cream or any other La Roche-Posay products? If so, which products do you use and how do you like them?

MAKEUP HACK 🥰

Happy Sunday lovelies. Thanksgiving is around the corner and I’m excited to spend it with my family and friends this year. Last night, I celebrated one of my childhood friends 30th birthday and it was a blast. I want to share a beauty hack I have been testing out the last couple weeks. I love trying out new tricks to keep my makeup in tack all day and night.

So, I know most of us have been told to apply your setting powder and setting spray after you are finished completing your makeup look, but I have been doing the total opposite and I’m loving the results. I wash my face, moisturize my skin, apply setting powder, spray my face with Fix+, apply my foundation, and then spray my face with Fix+ again. When I tell you this trick is liquid gold, I hit the jackpot. My makeup looks flawless all night and doesn’t crease. Oh, and top of that I look like a glazed donut. It’s giving dewy goddess. It’s giving sweaty dog. It’s giving ima bad bihhhhh ya dig. Okay, enough about me🤣

Have any of you tried this method before? If so, what do you think about it? Also, if you have not give it a go. It’s the bomb.com!

Wearing the Milani 2 in 1 Foundation. It is my favorite foundation thus far ❤️💕

FACE CLEANSER GALORE.

Happy Sunday babies. I hope you all had a great weekend. I sure did and it was nice and sunny in the PNW. I live for those sunny days in the Fall. Okay, let’s talk face cleansers y’all. I’m always on the hunt for a face cleanser that won’t irritate my dry sensitive skin. One that is cost friendly. One that will thoroughly cleanse my skin. Now that Fall/Winter is here, my skin is drier than normal. This means that I swap out my everyday cleanser for something simple yet effective. Here are my top two face cleansers I use throughout the cold seasons.

Manuka Honey. This is my go to several times during the week. Manuka honey helps heal your skin barrier, combats acne, and it is hydrating leaves the skin feeling soft and supple. You can leave Manuka honey on your skin for 5 minutes or 5 hours and it should not irritate the skin. I literally have Manuka honey on my face right now while bumping my tunes. I get the Trader Joe’s Manuka honey which is $15. You can use raw honey or organic honey as well. I prefer Manuka honey.

Micellar water. Yes, you need this. There are so many brands that make micellar water now. I keep micellar water stocked up in my cabinet. I prefer a hydrating micellar water that is suited for sensitive skin. My go to is the Garnier Micellar Water (pink cap). It thoroughly cleanses the skin and my face feels so refreshed after rinsing the product off. This product is $10 at Target. They have a travel size bottle you can pick up and try out before buying the full size bottle.

What are your go to face cleansers during Fall/Winter?

DRY SKIN FALL BLUES😕

Happy Sunday friends. It’s finally cold and rainy in the PNW and I am loving it. The holidays are around the corner and I’m excited. Are any of you dealing with dry skin since the weather changed recently? I know I am and I’m here to share some skincare hacks you can incorporate into your skincare regimen.

Manuka honey and fresh aloe vera face mask. This is one of my go to’s throughout the year, but especially during Fall and Winter. My skin gets extremely dry and irritated. Manuka honey and aloe vera are a powerful combination that soothes inflamed, dry, and irritated skin. Both of these natural products are anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and hydrating. You can also use Manuka honey as a face cleanser and apply aloe vera over night. It’s chef kiss kiss. I always keep these two products stocked up in my home.

Exfoliate. Now, be careful with this method, but it is important you try and exfoliate your face at least once a week. If once a week is too much, I suggest try exfoliating twice a month to get rid of the dead dry skin building up on your skin. I use the Angie Watts FACE Oshun’s Skin Food exfoliate ($30) and it is my favorite. It’s hydrating and literally feels like a layer of dead skin is falling off of my face. I be glowing after. I following up with fresh aloe vera to soothe the skin, then apply my Biossance Omega Repair Cream ($60) after the aloe dries down.

Only wash your face once a day, preferably at night time. Once I stopped washing my face in the morning, my skin stopped breaking. If I feel the need to wash my face in the morning, I will use manuka honey or micellar water. I love micellar water because it gets the excess grime off of your face your normal cleanser may not get.

Add occlusives to your regimen. I love adding cold pressed facial oils to my regimen. My top four facial oils I rotate through are: marula oil, sweet almond oil, vitamin e oil, and grapeseed oil. Currently, I am using CLIGANIC vitamin e oil and I mix it in with my Biossance omega repair cream. This combination is ELITE. Petroleum products are considered occlusives as well. You can add a thin layer of Aquaphor or Vaseline on top of your skin after you complete your skincare regimen.

What is your current Fall regimen? Give me deetz on your current routines.

WEEKEND MAKEUP DEETZ❤️

Happy Sunday folks. The Seahawks won and I had a fantastic weekend. Okay, but can we talk about this lip combo and new liquid eyeliner I tested out over the weekend? MAC released a new Powder Kiss Velvet Blur Slim Stick (lipstick) recently and I got the shade “nutmeg ganache.” This lipstick is $27 and can be purchased at the MAC store or MAC counter at Nordstrom. It’s giving Fall. It’s giving cinnamon stick. It’s giving act a hot mess because I was totally feeling myself this weekend.

The powder kiss velvet lipstick is considered a hydrating matte lipstick. It is weightless but also very pigmented. It glides on the lips so smoothly. It is very comfortable on the lips. MAC lipsticks are the GOAT to me, and no one can tell me other wise. I paired this lippie with the Fenty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminzer in “Fenty glow.” Let me tell you, when I say this is a LOOK, ya girl will be rocking this lip combo all Fall and Winter. I don’t think I have been sprung over a lip combo in so long like this. Fenty Gloss Bomb is one of my favorite glosses of all time. This lipgloss is $20 and can be purchased at Sephora and Ulta.

Next, I was stoked to try out the One/Size liquid liner by Patrick Starrr. This eyeliner is gorgeous. It is a true black. It glides on making it easy to create the perfect wing. This eyeliner is considered waterproof and I did not notice any movement or it wiping off easily. This eyeliner is $19 and can be purchased at Sephora.

Can we appreciate the good brow moment to❤️

BIOSSANCE SQUALANE + OMEGA REPAIR CREAM.

Happy Sunday y’all. It is so gorgeous out here in the PNW. The sun is shining. The Seahawks beat the Lions and I’m drinking my matcha tea latte from Starbucks enjoying this relaxing Sunday. I’m here to talk about the BIOSSANCE SQUALANE + OMEGA REPAIR CREAM. I have used this cream before and I found my way back to it this year. Usually, squalane and hyaluronic acid irritates my skin, but this particular product does not. In case you all are wondering, I have dry sensitive skin that gets irritated easily.

Biossance is a clean beauty brand that uses sugar cane squalene in majority of their products. Sugar cane squalene mimics the oils found in human skin. Sugar cane squalene oil easily absorbs into the skin making it a lightweight oil you can wear year round. Sugar cane squalene oil reduces the appearance of wrinkles, enhances the skin barrier, improves the skin cellular levels, and deeply moisturizes the skin without making your skin feel greasy. You can use sugar cane squalene oil all over body and it should not irritate your skin or clog your pores.

This product is a rich cream that hydrates and moisturizes the skin. It is considered a repair cream that helps repair your skins natural skin barrier when it has been compromised. I have compromised my skin barrier a lot within the last year trying to find what works well for my skin. Personally for me, I have to add an occlusive for it to keep my skin hydrated throughout the day. I found that Trader Joe’s 100% Cold Pressed Marula Oil pairs well with this face cream. I tried using 100% squalane oil and it burned my skin. Don’t ask me why. I blame my daddy for my sensitive skin LOL.

This face cream is $60. It is fragrance free. It does have a weird stinch almost like sweaty feet but goes away after applied to the skin. I know that smell can throw some people off. If you are interested in this cream, I suggest getting a sample from Sephora or purchasing the travel size option to see if it will work for your skin. This face cream will work for dry, sensitive, combination skin. Oily skin beware, it might be too rich for you.

Have any of you tried this product? If so, how do you like it? What are your thoughts about it?

PLANTLIFE COLD PRESSED GRAPESEED OIL.

Happy Sunday everyone. Fall is here and I am so excited the holidays are near. I already started Christmas shopping. Once October hits, I plan to make one of my favorite Fall soups. Okay, enough about that. Let’s get into the grapeseed oil I have been using for two weeks now. You know I am all about the facial oils and I finally gave in and ordered Plantlife’s grapeseed oil. My co-worker has been telling me for months to try out grapeseed oil, so I decided to stop being hard headed and try it out. Plantlife has become one of my favorite brands to purchase oils from, so I knew I would more than likely fall in love with their grapeseed oil. It is safe to say, I AM HOOKED y’all.

Grapeseed oil is known to have antimicrobial properties. It helps fight acne breakouts. It is extremally moisturizing. It can help fade dark marks and reduce the appearance of acne scars. It protects the skin from free radicals. It can help balance and even out your skin tone. It minimizes fine lines and wrinkles. Grapeseed can be used on all skin types. My skin is so sensitive, but this oil did not irritate my skin. When I first tried out this oil, it tingled a bit. I was a little nervous about that because usually when something starts tingling my skin, that is a sign of irritation. In this case, I have experience no irritation what so ever. Cheers to that shit seriously because it is an on going battle with my skin.

If you are looking for a facial oil to add to your routine, try out grapeseed oil. It is so hydrating and leaves a beautiful glow to the face. This oil is perfect to add to your Fall routines because oils are considered occlusives. Have any of you tried out grapeseed oil? If so, how do you like it?

ARMANI LUMINOUS SILK FOUNDATION.

Happy Taco Tuesday babes. I am so pumped to talk about one of my favorite lightweight foundations I have been rocking at the moment. It is the Armani Luminous Silk foundation. I remember about four years ago I tried to find a color match, but unfortunately the shade range was limited. Fast forward to 2022, they have extended the shade range and it is immaculate. I am shade 11 in this foundation and it is an exact color match for me. I have an olive neutral undertone. I received this foundation as a gift from my friend and I have been hooked.

This is one of the best lightweight foundations I have ever used. It is oil free, provides light to medium coverage, and is made with minimal and clean ingredients. Like seriously, what else could a girl ask for. This foundation is formulated to hydrate the skin and leave an air brushed luminous finish. If you don’t like full coverage foundation, this would be a great option for you. As I get older, I have been steering away from full coverage foundations. They really suffocate the skin at times.

This foundation will suit any skin type. If you want a lightweight, light to medium coverage foundation that leaves a satin finish, this foundation is for you. It reminds me of NARS Sheer Glow. You can purchase this foundation at Nordstrom, Sephora, Macy’s, and Armani online. This foundation ranges from $46-$70. I received the 0.6oz size and I have plenty left. I don’t use foundation everyday.

Have any of you tried this foundation? If so, what do you think about?

FALL ESSENTIALS.

Happy September beautiful people. Summer is finally coming to an end so that means it is time to revamp your skincare routine. During the Summer, you should opt for light weight moisturizers and oils. Now that Fall is approaching, it’s time to pull out those intense facial creams and occlusives. You need to protect your skin as much as possible to prevent water loss.

Keeping your skin moisturized will prevent you from having a damaged moisture barrier, inflamed, irritated, and dry skin. Creams and occlusive products usually are the best option to keep your skin soft, supple, and hydrated. Also, swapping out certain cleansers and finding cleansers that hydrate the skin like raw organic honey, or Cerave Hydrating cleanser will help keep your moisture barrier at bay.

MAC STUDIO FIX FLUID FOUNDATION SPF 15.

Happy Sunday babies. It has been baking over here in the PNW and I am not mad about it. We had a rainy Spring so I’m soaking in the sun as much as I can before fall approaches around again. I want to talk about one of the Ol’G foundations that’s been around for years. I’m sure many of you know or heard of the MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation. I use to use this foundation back in high school. had to stopped using it after high school because it was causing my skin to break out and the color match (NC50) was to red for my complexion. MAC has totally revamped their shade range and it is perfection now.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid is a soft matte foundation that provides medium to full coverage. It is an oil free foundation, so if you’re an oily skinned babe this foundation is for you. There are 63 shades available which means you should be able to find your perfect match. Now, I have extremely dry and sensitive skin and this foundation does not irritate or dry my skin out. Usually with matte foundations I run from because they suck the life out of my skin. Studio Fix Fluid is simply the shit and it is worth the $36.

Studio Fix Fluid was made for ALL skin types. It is rare you find a foundation made for all skin types. I am shade NC47 in this foundation. I have a neural olive undertone. To offset this foundation, I spray MAC Fix+ to soften up my makeup and provide extra hydration. This is one of my favorite setting sprays and it gives ya girl the dewy look I pride myself on when I do my makeup.

You can apply this foundation with a beauty blender, stifling brush, foundation brush, or your fingers. I prefer a foundation or beauty blender. Sometimes applying this foundation with a beauty blender can be drying, so I have been opting for a foundation brush lately.

Do any of you use this foundation? If so, how do you like it? what shade are you?
