FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA GLOSS BOMB “FU$$Y.”

Happy Easter everyone. I hope you all had a fabulous day. I want to talk about one of my favorite lip glosses which is the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in the shade “Fu&$y.” First off, Rihanna ate with her cosmetic line. Her glosses are a staple in my makeup collection. I remember when she released “Fenty Glow” back in 2017, I ran to Sephora to buy it. Now I’m in love with “Fu$$y” and I keep it on deck at all times.

Fu$$y is a beautiful shimmering pink that pairs well with almost every makeup look. I love how the shimmer is subtle and the pink shade is not overpowering on the lips. This is one of the most comfortable lip glosses I have ever used. It isn’t sticky and doesn’t leave that nasty white film in between the lips that other glosses do. I cannot stand when that happens. It is a long wearing high shine gloss that adds a little pop to your makeup. I use this product on my no makeup/makeup days. Honestly, this is the only gloss I have been reaching for the past couple months. I feel like a baddie when I’m wearing this lip gloss.

Have any of you tried this lip gloss? If so, what do you think about it?

FOUNDATION SWAPS!

Happy Sunday folks. I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Today is my last day in my twenties and I’m so beyond excited for this new decade I am entering. Spring is here and it’s time to swap out your medium to full coverage foundations for tinted moisturizers and light weight foundations.

I’m in love with NARS products and the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation is nice to wear during the warmer months. It gives that skin like finish and sheers out throughout the day. It is a buildable foundation. I love the fact that NARS makes their foundations to be applied with your fingers. Once you work the foundation in, then you can go in with a foundation or buffing brush to smooth out the product. It does settle into fine lines. This product costs $47 and is sold at Nordstrom, Ulta, and Sephora. This foundation does not come with a pump, so you will have to purchase that separately. I was so annoyed when I found that out🤣

Another great foundation to purchase is the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. This is a light weight foundation that gives a satin finish when applied on the skin. I do like this foundation, but I’m not sure if I would restock this product once it runs out. I think it can be a staple for someone who has dry, normal, or combination skin. Personally, I like more dewy foundations. This does settle into fine lines. I like the fact that it is light weight, easy to apply, and enhances the skin. You can purchase this product at Nordstrom and Sephora. I was gifted the mini version and it costs $45.

If you don’t like foundations, I suggest purchasing a tinted moisturizer, bb cream, cc cream, or skin tint. NARS, Rare Beauty, Glossier, Tower 28, Loreal, Maybelline, and Rimmel London are good companies to look for the products I named above. What are your go to products for Spring and Summer?

SPRING HAS SPRUNG.

Happy happy Monday folks. Spring is finally here and I’m so excited for the warmer the months. My skin was beyond parched during Winter, but luckily it was not as bad as 2021. I’m beyond ecstatic to swap out my heavy facial creams for my light weight moisturizers and facial oils. Ya girl is all about the glow and oils are life to me. I have introduced my skin too a couple new oils and ooooweeee my face is loving them.

If you are looking to stick with face moisturizers, swap out your creams for gel moisturizers and face lotions. These will allow your skin to breathe but still provide the moisture you need that leaves the skin plump and hydrated. If you have oily or combination skin gel moisturizers may be best suited for you. If you have dry to normal skin a face lotion may be best suited for you. Of course us sensitive skin guys/gals have to use precaution when we choose face moisturizers. Personally for me, I’m dry and sensitive so I will opt for a face lotion and may add drops of oil in it. Gel moisturizers leave me dry unfortunately.

Face moisturizer recommendations:

  • Cerave Face Moisturizer
  • Cetaphil Face Moisturizer
  • Aveeno Calm and Restore Gel Moisturizer
  • Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer
  • Trader Joe’s Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer
  • Biossance Probiotic Gel Moisturizer

Facial oil recommendations: All should be cold pressed or organic.

  • Tamanu Oil
  • Sweet Almond Oil
  • Grapeseed Oil
  • She’s Nut Oil
  • Argan Oil
  • Vitamin E Oil

What are your go to moisturizers or oils you love to wear in the Spring?

IT COSMETICS CC+ NUDE GLOW FOUNDATION.

Happy Sunday folks. I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I sure did. I picked up a few things from Sephora that I’m eager to try in the next couple of weeks. I’ll make sure to share with you all soon. Okay, let’s take about the IT Cosmetics CC+Nude Glow Foundation. If I could rate this product a negative zero I would. This has to be one of the worst foundations I have ever used. I was so underwhelmed with this product, I took it back immediately. Sigh, how unfortunate right?

For one, the shade range is terrible. They only have 22 shades to choose from! I’m sorry, it is 2023 and IT Cosmetics needs to do better. They are not catering to all skin complexions and undertones. I don’t even remember the shade I purchased but it had a grey undertone. It also has fragrance in this product and immediately my skin started to itch. The fragrance was giving off an orange grapefruity smell. My nostrils couldn’t handle the fragrance and neither could my poor skin.

I have a couple friends who use this product and they rave about it. They have normal to dry skin and they say it has amazing coverage and love the dewy finish. I can’t remember honestly because it was just that bad. I can say, for someone who doesn’t have sensitive skin this may work for you. For me, it was terrible. But, just because I don’t like something and it doesn’t work for me, that doesn’t mean it won’t work for you.

Have any of you tried this foundation? If so, what do you think about it?

NARS PURE RADIANT TINTED MOISTURIZER.

Happy Sunday babies. I hope you all have been doing well. I took off the month of February due to the fact I received a promotion at work and I have been busy training. It is my birthday month and I am so excited for this next decade I am entering. Okay, let’s get into it ya’ll. Spring is right around the corner and I am looking forward to the warm weather. Ya girl has been purchasing new tinted moisturizers and foundations left and right. I am trying to be that dewy little goddess I was born to be. I have been in to the minimalist makeup trend lately. I want foundations and tinted moisturizers that give me that skin like look and I have been achieving that!

I used the NARS tinted moisturizer back in 2017 but I was not sold on it. I think I was just stuck in that 2016 era where we wore full coverage foundation and the eyebrows spoke for themselves. Fast forward to 2023, I rarely wear makeup but baby when I do, I want it minimal but dewy as possible. Unfortunately, this tinted moisturizer was a fail for me. Now, ya’ll know I have sensitive skin and this product irritated my skin. The coverage was beautiful and it gilded on the skin perfectly. I purchased the shade “Marrakesh” which was a totally different shade I used in 2017. I think NARS has been rebranding which I have mixed feelings about. The shade I previously used was “Seychelles.” In my personal opinion, it was a better match but they do not sell that shade anymore. It also did not irritate my skin either.

Back to “Marrakesh!” The color match was good but it did leave a bit of a grey hue which I assume was from the SPF in the product. This tinted moisturizer had good light coverage, better than other tinted moisturizers I have tried in the past. It did reek of chemicals which can be an unpleasant smell. Overall, this product would be great for someone who has dry or normal skin that wants to brighten up their face. If you prefer medium coverage foundations, this product is not for you. If you have acne prone, oily, or sensitive skin, proceed with caution. I suggest going to Nordstrom or Sephora to get samples before purchasing this tinted moisturizer. This will be awesome to purchase for Spring and Summer. Less is more during the warmer months and that is what this tinted moisturizer is giving. They do not have a big shade range option either, so you may not be able to find a color match.

Have any of you tried this product? If so, how do you like it?

MILANI CHEEK KISS CREAM BLUSH.

Happy Sunday beauties. You all know I’m a huge fan of Milani Cosmetics. I have tried several of there products and they usually never disappoint. I have been into cream based products lately and I’m in love with the Milani Cheek Kiss Cream Blushes. I bought two of there cream blushes last year but never used them because I was too lazy to work them on my skin😂 I am use to powder blushes, so anything cream or liquid based would scare me. I know it sounds dramatic but your girl doesn’t want to blend her makeup out for hours. That’s not the life I am trying to live these days😂

I wore the shade “Nude Kiss 110” ($10) last night and I loved it. This product has smooth and creamy finish that is easy to apply on the cheeks. I used my fingers to apply this blush then blended it out with my Real Techniques Beauty Sponge. The color payoff was excellent. Very pigmented but subtle and luminous. It leaves a glossy finish which is great if you are trying to achieve the dewy look. “Nude Kiss 100” is considered a mauve nude that all skin tones can enjoy. This blush has pomegranate, rose extracts, and watermelon infused in the formula. (Milani)

I did add bit of MAC “Love Joy” ($33) Mineralize Blush on top and the duo was immaculate together. “Love Joy” is a warm tone brown with gold pearl. (MAC) I knew these two blushes would pair well together. The Milani cream blushes come in four different shades and are sold at Target, Ulta, Walgreens, CVS, and Walmart. I purchased mine at Target for $10.

Have any of you tried these Milani Cheek Kiss Cream Blushes? If so, how do you like them and what shades do you have?

TOWER 28 SUNNY DAYS TINTED MOISTURIZER SPF 30.

Happy Sunday babies. Is it just me, or does the weekend just flash before your eyes? Sometimes I ask myself, how is it already Sunday🤣 Anyways, I want to talk about the Tower 28 Tinted Moisturizer ($32) I recently tried out that was an epic fail. I got a couple Sephora gift cards for Xmas and I have been on the hunt for some tinted moisturizers. As I get older, full coverage foundations are less appealing to me. I love a natural dewy look, especially when the skin is giving honey.

Tower 28 is a clean beauty cosmetic brand. This brand focuses on producing products for people with sensitive skin. There products are made with clean/vegan ingredients. They are an LA based company and there motto is: “Tower 28, we like our beauty products the way we like our beaches: clean, full of sunshine, and for everyone.” (Tower 28 Beauty) I agree with this statement. They have fun and vibrant products. I swatched the bronzers, blushes, and glosses and they’re stunning. The bronzers and blushes are cream based which is perfect to use to create a natural dewy look.

I was searching around Sephora and asked if the associates what she thought about the Tower 28 tinted moisturizer and she said she loved it. I found out about this brand on TikTok. The lip glosses were so gorgeous to me so I knew I was going to snag a couple of those. I tested out the tinted moisturizer in shade “ 55 Temescal” deep with golden undertones). It was a perfect match.

On New Years Eve, I decided to test out this tinted moisturizer and the finish was beautiful when applied to the skin. Unfortunately, this product did pill and caused a bit of irritation on my skin. I had to wash it off immediately. It provides sheer coverage. If you’re looking for something with extremely light coverage, this may work for you. This would be good as a base before applying your favorite foundation. The product is hydrating and leaves a dewy finish. People with oily/combination skin may not like this product. This tinted moisturizer would beat suit normal to dry skin. If you are acne prone or have hyperpigmentation, this will not provide the coverage you need. I have hyperpigmentation and it didn’t cover up those spots.

Overall, this product would be good for someone who likes minimal makeup with normal/dry/sensitive skin. It is great for light makeup days if you’re looking for a product that allows your skin to breathe. Have any of you tried this product? If so, what do you think about?

MY FALL/WINTER MOISTURIZING CREAM.

Happy Sunday folks. It’s my first post of the year and I am so excited to share my fall/winter moisturizer. So, I have been loving La Roche Posay products lately. They’re are so soothing and hydrating to the skin. I recently picked up the La Roche Posay LIPIKAR Eczema Soothing Relief Cream and boy, let me tell you, I am loving it. Just in case you’re wondering, no I don’t have eczema on my face but this cream absorbs into my skin so nicely, like no other cream I have ever used.

This face cream can be used on the face and body. Previously, I was using the Triple Repair Cream on my face but it was clogging my pores. Now I use it on my body and my skin is extremely hydrated. La Roche Posay uses thermal spring water, glycerin, and shea butter in there products. In this product, they added colloidal oatmeal which is an ingredient to soothe eczema prone skin. Colloidal oatmeal is anti inflammatory, rehydrates the skin, balances your skins natural ph levels, and locks in moisture to the skin. Colloidal oatmeal can cause skin irritation, so I suggest doing a test patch before you apply this product to your face.

Because my skin is as dry as the Sahara desert, I added pure glycerin to this product and it is working miracles on me. I cleaned out an old 4oz jar of face cream I had that I was no longer using. Add a 1/2 teaspoon of glycerin to the bottom of the jar. Then squeeze the cream in the jar and mix together. Glycerin is a thick potent ingredient so you have to be strategic and measure how much you mix into your cream. 80/20 ratio is best when adding glycerin. If you feel like you need to add more glycerin in add small drops and test as you go on the skin. I had to add a little more glycerin in mine to make it more hydrating. The first batch I mixed I did add too much in the jar so I had to rebuy and remake. So I use the greasier ones as a body lotion now during these cold months.

Glycerin is a humectant that allows the skin to retain moisture. It helps repair the skin barrier, increases hydration, relives dry skin, and helps the skin retain moisture. Make sure not use too much or it can irritate the skin. Glycerin is best for dry/normal/sensitive skin types. If you have combination/oily skin, use with precaution since this product is very oily and thick. since I purchased my glycerin at CVS for $9.

Have any of you tried these products. If so, how do you like them?

TOP 3 FAVORITE PRODUCTS/HACKS OF 2022.

Happy New Year’s Years Eve everyone. It’s the last day of the year so it is only right I share with you my top 3 favorite products/hacks of the year.

1. Manuka honey. Manuka honey is my baby. I feel like Manuka honey is a prized possession I want to keep around forever. Literally, this is the perfect product to use as face cleanser or mask for dry, sensitive, inflamed, and irritated skin. It is so hydrating and has saved me from damaging my skin barrier on numerous occasions. I’m definitely rolling into the new year with my Manuka honey in hand.

2. Ice cubes and fresh aloe vera. Wooooo, this combination right here is a force to reckoned with. I cannot rave enough about how ice cubes and fresh aloe vera has saved my skin all 2022. Ice cubes and aloe vera have helped clear my acne, fade some of my hyperpigmentation, and heal my skin barrier. I keep fresh aloe vera on deck at all times in my fridge. I don’t do this method everyday anymore but definitely a couple days a week. I love the fact you can sleep with aloe vera on over night. It is so cooling and hydrating to the skin.

3. Milani 2-1 conceal foundation. This foundation is my top makeup product of 2022. I feel like this foundation was made for me. Literally, it gives me a dewy finish without looking cakey. A true medium finish foundation that gives a glow. Oh, it’s also a drug store foundation but in my opinion this is the best foundation I have ever used on my skin. The color match is awesome and they 45 shades available. Issa win win for me.

Honorable mention- La Roche Posay products. Baby, when I mean I’m sprung off this skincare line, IM SPRUNG. The creams are so hydrating and leave a beautiful glow on the skin. The Triple Repair Moisturizing Cream and LIPIKAR Eczema Cream are golden gems. They’re great for repairing your skin barrier and are awesome for sensitive skin. I had to stop using the triple repair cream on my face due to the fact it was clogging my pores. I now use this cream for my body and it has been keeping my skin soft and supple during this cold winter. I switched it up and purchased the eczema cream and boy does this product absorb well into my face. I added some glycerin to it for extra hydration since my skin is so dry. I will talk more about this product in 2023.

I hope you all enjoyed your holidays. Happy New Year and cheers to a beautiful 2023 ahead of us.

LA ROCHE POSAY CICAPLAST BAUME B5 SOOTHING THERAPEUTIC MULTI PURPOSE CREAM.

Happy Sunday everyone. Christmas is around the corner and I’m so excited to spend the day with my loved ones. I want to share another La Roche Posay product with you which is the cicaplast baume b5. This product is liquid gold. Of course I disrupted my skin barrier once again, so I picked this up and man oh man, this shit is fire ❤️

This baume is formulated with shea butter, thermal spring water, zinc, and panthenol (form of vitamin B5) that soothes dry, irritated, and inflamed skin all over the body. This baume can also be used on baby’s. Personally, I only used this baume on my face and it is chef kiss kiss. It does cause tingling but that is the soothing affect of the panthenol. This baume is best suited for normal, dry, sensitive, and acne prone skin. People who have oily or combination skin I would use with precaution. It can be pore clogging and too rich for your skin type. This formula is non greasy but hydrating. It does leave a white cast at first but it sinks in within 10-15 minutes. Well at least for my dry sensitive skin.

Have any of you tried this baume? If so, what do you think about? Also, please remember if a product burns or irritates your skin discontinue it. If it causes your skin to break out discontinue. This baume is $17 and can be purchased at Target, CVS, Ulta, and Walgreens.
